As Singapore commemorates the last 200 years of her history, it is timely to reflect on her journey of transformation. We have much to be grateful for in this jewel of a city-state. Yet even as we emulate Singapore’s past accomplishments, let us not neglect the vulnerable and marginalised. To move ahead together, there needs to be a collective effort to work alongside government agencies and stakeholders to aid communities in need. Such efforts would enable us to care for the less privileged, while providing opportunities for others to be involved in voluntary and social work.
Tan Chuan-Jin’s photographs present a wonderful opportunity for this cause. This fundraising photo exhibition is a showcase of Mr Tan’s personal collection of photographs from his travels. The public can support this fundraising effort by making a donation, and receive a limited-edition exclusive metal print, premium photo book box set, special photo book box set or other collectibles from the exhibition.
All proceeds will go towards supporting 13 partnering charities – Breakthrough Missions, Care Corner Singapore, Centre for Fathering Limited, Club Rainbow (Singapore), Gladiolous Place, HealthServe Limited, Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore, Life Centre Community Services, Mediacorp Enable Fund, SHINE Children and Youth Services, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, The Bible Society of Singapore, and The Turning Point.
