Study Buddy is a homework motivational programme for children aged 7-12 years old, supported by volunteers of SHINE to provide a healthy study environment, encourage routine with time for studying and practice of cognitive games in their playtime to enhance self-management skills.
As a Reading Mentor, you will:
📌 Be role model/ mentor positive study habits to the children/ pre teens
📌 Encourage Positive self-management skills
📌 Inculcate the spirit of growth and drive to be motivated
📌 To be present physically at the location, to guide and coach
📌 To be patient and pleasant
📌 To attend and participate in trainings, Previews , Reviews, briefing and debriefings

2) Youth Inspirator
Queensway Secondary School-SHINE Mentoring Programme, focusing on positive youth development through school-based mentoring
Requirements:
Minimum 18 years old (*Mentees are 15 years old)
Commitment to all mentoring sessions (dates shared during screening interview)
Developmental attitude towards youths; prior youth work experience is a bonus
Date & Time:
Tuesdays, 12:30 - 3 pm @ Queensway Secondary. Weekly sessions from now to the end of August 2024. No sessions during the June school term breaks.
