What is YCD?

SHINE Children & Youth Services is in partnership with Youth Corps Singapore to set up the SG Cares - Youth Corps Development Team @ SHINE Children & Youth Services (YCDT @ SHINE).

Children's programmes

  • Art-Kid-Tech: Be an architect in a child’s life as they develop their artistic side with various forms of digital art!

 

  • SPACE: Highlight the importance of environmental conversation with children as they put their learnings together in a simple performance at the end!

 

  • Once Upon A Virtue: Once Upon A Virtue is a storytelling program designed to help children learn about 5 Core Virtues through engaging narratives. The program is developed by our partner, The Volunteer Switchboard.

 

  • KidsLearn: A early literacy and befriending program that aims to provide reading and phonics enrichment for young preschool children aged 5 to 6​

Seniors' programmes

  • Project OMEGA: A senior befriending programme promoting seniors’ wellbeing through nagomi art and mindfulness. ​

​

  • Project ROSE: Reach out and befriend vulnerable seniors in the community to make sure they’re well-engaged and taken care of to reduce social isolation! The program is developed and conducted in partnership with Blossom Seeds Volunteer Centre and People’s Association.​

​

  • PROTEC: Educate seniors on digital literacy and cybersecurity to reduce their vulnerabilities to evolving technology and scams! The program is developed and conducted in partnership with White Byte. ​
