ABOUT SHINE CHARITY GOLF
SHINE Charity Golf
Annual fundraising event to help raise funds for SHINE to enable children and youth to maximise their potential.
Every year, SHINE empowers more than 6,000 children and youth to realise their full potential and secure a promising future. Through education support, mentoring, social work, counselling, and community programmes, we journey alongside them, one child at a time.

Our SHINE staff will lead you through a series of unique challenges, allowing you to experience firsthand the difficulties faced by some of our beneficiaries. Each challenge offers a meaningful glimpse into their daily lives and struggles.
Tee Up the Truth
Hole #16
Golfers will be split into two groups and given a series of statements.
Your challenge is simple: decide whether each statement is True or False — and discuss your answer within the time limit.
Got it wrong? You’ll have to tee off using a different club for your next shot.
Sometimes the wrong information leads us off course — but the right understanding can make all the difference.
Lost Words
Hole #3
Each team will be given a word.
Your challenge is simple: get your team to guess the word.
But there’s a catch: You may not use directly related words (banned words will be provided), or describe it using gestures only — no speaking.
Some things aren’t easy to express — but with the right support, it becomes clearer.
Guard the Ball
Hole #12
Each golfer will receive a coloured SHINE ball. Your challenge is simple: keep your ball safe throughout the entire round. If your ball is lost, hit into water, out of bounds or deemed unplayable —you’re out of the challenge.
Still have your ball by the end? Bring it with you to dinner.

Double Peoria (Stableford)
Six blind holes will be selected by the System, which will be excluded, and the remaining 12 holes will be used to compute the golfer's handicap. Golfer's scores for all 18 holes will be calculated in the System using computed handicap.

Tournament Rules and Safety
To ensure a fair, enjoyable and safe experience for all participants, the following rules and guidelines will apply throughout the tournament. We kindly ask all golfers to observe proper etiquette, maintain pace of play and prioritise safety at all times on the course.

Golfer may pick up the ball if he/she scores more than 3 over par on any hole, and write "4 over par" for that hole on the score card

Golfer may pick up their ball if it is within a putter length from the hole. Do remember to count the gimme as one stroke.

Applies in the event of rain

Golfer is allowed to lift, clean and place the ball on its original spot, using a marker to mark the original spot.

In the event of a cancellation of the competition or incomplete 18-hole rounds

Golf prizes shall be added into the Lucky Draw at dinner
